When Quinn got in the shower and the color refused to fade or wash out, she really started to panic. With the intention of dying it after work somehow or another, she tied it up in a ponytail and then stuffed it in a hat before getting ready for work.

Diwata decided to go find that Quinn girl and talk to her, mainly to progress this rp but also to question her about what that substance she spilled on her could have done to her.

Quinn was seated at her desk staring at the skin on her wrist at about 10am, running her fingers over the exposed and bare textured skin. It was all blue and green colored, like her hair was that morning. She had it tied up in a hat, which was against dress code, but so far no-one had pulled her aside to mention it.

When she stared at her wrist, she was thinking of things or ways to test it without getting in trouble. To take a new DNA sample or something could so easily risk her entire job, and she wasn't willing to do that. While she had many of the supplies and things right here in her office, it was still risky business.

Diwata chose that moment (well not really chose, but you get the picture) to knock on Quinn's door.

Quinn jumped practically out of her seat and looked over at the door, frantically pulling her sleeve back down over her wrist. She didn't speak, taking several breaths and considering.

Diwata waited a few seconds, then knocked again.

"Come in," Quinn said, pushing her hair further up into her hat and pleading for it to be a coworker and not her supervisor.

Diwata came in hesitantly. "Um... hello?"

Quinn muttered something inaudible under her breath when she heard the voice, which she obviously recognized. Slowly, she turned her office chair around to face the door and Diwata. Fix it. Face it. Deal with it. With a plain tone to her voice, Quinn said "Hi. What can I do for you?"

Diwata steadied herself. Don't show how scared you are. 'Conceal, don't feel.' Yeurgh that just sounds cheesy, I'm not Elsa. "I was hoping you could answer some questions I have about that substance?" She felt there was no need to specify what substance she meant by 'that'.
"I'm not putting any of this in the newspaper, don't worry," she added.

"Sorry, I don't have any info for you," Quinn answered immediately.

Diwata gave her an I-know-you're-lying look.

"I don't!" Quinn defended herself with a shrug. "I have no idea. I'm still in the research phase."

"But surely you have some other suspicions about it besides what you told me previously?" Diwata asked, taking a further step into the room.

"None, sorry," Quinn said, slouching just slightly. "I was sick on Friday and left work."

Diwata was suspicious. "What were you sick with?"

"A cold," Quinn answered, well, coldly.

"What are your symptoms?" Diwata asked skeptically.

"I'm over it mostly now," Quinn answered, feeling dumb. "But I had a headache, runny nose, fever. That sorta thing."

Diwata simply stared at Quinn skeptically, not believing a word of it.
